E & A is friendly, honest, reliable and very professional. They have kept my old A/C unit operating at a reasonable price. It is very rare nowadays to find this skilled and customer oriented. I highly recommend this company!

Eugene came in during the scheduled window, totally polite and friendly and tolerant of our crazy dog, and actually fixed the issue at hand — a faulty/dying A/C compressor motor. He replaced it with a new one, despite the fact that the old one was still hanging on by a thread and I was all ready to hear the “well, it’s not broken, just not properly maintained so we can’t do anything blah blah blah” routine. Our experience with E & A and Eugene especially was a very positive one.

Had a problem in which my thermostat was incorrectly wired such that the heater and air conditioner came on at the same time when I tried to turn on the heat. I did not realize this and was concerned that heat was getting lost out the ducts above the heater.

Alex (Alec?) and Sam came out and quickly figured out the issue. The thermostat was replaced, wired correctly, and now both systems work perfectly.

There was no nonsense, and they worked quickly and diligently.

I love my new A/C system!!!! Alex (the owner) and his crew were fantastic: professional, clean, and fast. Alex is very patient. He came over to check out my home and provided clear and reasonable reasons why the recommended equipment was the right system for my place. He also provided information and used his experience to answer all my questions. On the day of installation, a large crew of guys came over to disassemble the old unit, carefully and in parts, then installed the new equipment piece by piece, ensuring each piece was properly placed and connected to the rest of the system. I know this because I oversaw the entire operation. I also witnessed the crane lifting the new equipment up to the roof of the building and the old down to the street level. Hardly any noise and well coordinated among all the crew members involved. I notice lots of communication between the roof and apartment crews, and also saw Alex come by many times to inspect the work in progress. The crew cleaned up after themselves and left no trace of a mess or damage to the unit. Alex came by a few times to show me how to use the new Nest Thermostat I got, and did not leave until the hot and cold temperatures were tested successfully. All of this at a bargain price, half of what Sears or Costco were estimating for the same exact equipment and work!!
I would definitely recommend E& A Mechanical, thank you Alex & crew!!!

E and A was assigned to me by my warranty company. My appt window was 8-11am. The tech, Andre, arrived at 820. He was warm, friendly, very polite and respectful. He seemed thorough. He answered my questions in easy to understand language. And my AC was running in less than 20 mins. He also identified 2 other smaller probs aside from the burned out ‘capacitor,’ which he also repaired. He was done in under an hour. He was great with my dog. He shared (an appropriate amount) about his children. Overall it was a very good experience. If I didn’t have a home warranty, I would use them again. Also, the individual who answers the phones, scheduled my appt, and confirmed was very pleasant, professional and accommodating. So, hopefully what led to those 1-star experiences is a thing of the past. My experience was excellent.
