How often should I have my air conditioning system serviced?

We recommend having your air conditioning system professionally serviced at least once a year, ideally in the spring before the cooling season begins. For heating systems, schedule maintenance in the fall. Our annual maintenance agreement includes two inspections per year for $129, covering both your AC and heating systems.

When should I replace my furnace or air conditioner instead of repairing it?

Generally, if your system is over 15 years old, requires frequent repairs, or has an efficiency rating well below current standards, replacement may be more cost-effective. Modern systems achieve up to 96.7% AFUE for furnaces and up to 20 SEER for air conditioners, which can significantly reduce your energy bills compared to older units. What is a SEER rating and why does it matter?

SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio. It measures how efficiently an air conditioning system operates over an entire cooling season. The higher the SEER rating, the more energy efficient the unit. Newer systems can reach up to 20 SEER, meaning they use significantly less energy than older systems rated at 10 or lower. A higher SEER rating translates to lower utility bills.

How often should I change my air filter?

Air filters should be cleaned or replaced every one to two months during the cooling and heating seasons. If your system runs constantly, you live in a dusty area, or you have pets, you may need to change them more frequently. A clean filter can reduce your air conditioner’s energy consumption by 5% to 15%.

What brands do you install and service?

We service and repair all makes and models. For new installations, we are authorized dealers for Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, Bryant, Trane, Payne, American Standard, and Goodman. Our technicians are trained and EPA certified to work on any residential or commercial HVAC equipment.

How can I tell if my air ducts need cleaning?

Signs your ducts may need cleaning include visible mold growth, evidence of rodent or insect infestation, reduced airflow from vents, and family members experiencing increased allergies, asthma, headaches, or respiratory issues. We offer free, no-obligation duct cleaning estimates and use safe, proven methods without chemical solvents.

What does your 21-point AC tune-up include?

Our precision tune-up includes refrigerant pressure monitoring, safety controls testing, air filter cleaning or replacement, blower component cleaning, electrical connection tightening, thermostat calibration, evaporator and condenser coil cleaning, condensate drain cleaning, and more. A single tune-up is $87, or choose our annual agreement with two inspections for $129.

Are your technicians licensed and insured?

What is a heat pump and is it right for my home?

A heat pump is an energy-efficient system that both heats and cools your home by transferring heat rather than generating it from fuel. In milder climates like Los Angeles, heat pumps can achieve efficiency ratings of 300-400%, making them much more efficient than gas furnaces.
